NLC Device for Ring & Speed frame
(Suitable for all makes of drafting systems of Ring Frames & Speed Frames, wool/worsted spinning frames, jute spinning frames like Mackie, Murata Airjet frames)




NLC Device (Nipping Load Checking Device)  is extensively used in order to measure the top arm roller load (nipping pressure) in ring frames and speed frames.

In the case of continuous working with Top Arm of Ring Spinning & Speed frames, variations occur from the set loads that affect the quality of drafted material.

Frequent methodical checkup of top roller loads is necessary

Typically, many methods were tried but the only NLC Device has been the most successful and enduring one. Now, 15 years after the launch of this product, more than 1300 mills in India and many textile nations use this product.

In many mills IMMEDIATE results were to be seen once the top arm loads were measured and regulated according to the norms prescribed by the respective manufacturers. Top arms made by leading manufacturers can be successfully measured. our NLC Device measure the pressure (Load) in front, middle & back rollers of all types of drafting systems used today in Ring Frames & Speed Frames, such as SKF PK 225, 2025, 235, 211, 1500, 1600, 1601, 704, BM 12, 14, 15, RIETER G5/1, G6, DJ5, LF 1400, LF 1400A, SUESSEN WST UT 620, UTM 620, UTS 200, etc.|
 
While setting the top arm loads , the manufacturer’s recommendation has to be followed most often barring a few exceptions. These recommended loads ensure uniform load on the fluted roller and the journal bearings beside an optimum power consumption (since more top arm load means more load on the drive motor). 
The Top roller rubber Cots also serves longer due to regulated and uniform friction.

Why NLC Device? 
The top rollers are loaded at specific levels & thus uniformity between top arms on the same frame is maintained. In the course of continuous working, however, variations occur from the set loads which affect the quality of drafted materials.
Low top arm loads results in undrafted yarn, unevenness & hence affect the strength & count CV% . 
Excess loads also squeeze the cots & increases the power factor of the machines. Hence, frequent methodical check up & corrections of top roller loads is necessary. The instrument is suitable for cots from 25mm to 75mm diameter with least count of 0.5 kg and max. 350 kgs. It is also suitable for wool/worsted ring spinning frames like as Cognetex, NSC, & jute spinning like Mackie, DASN, etc.

Coming to the actual shop floor person who is going to use the device- This device is one that needs no skills to use and maintain. The instructions are simple enough to be followed by any lay person with a training of less than 30 minutes.

The same gauge is demonstrated below in a Speed frame ( Simplex or Fly Frame)
This is a quality enhancing device and payback time is usually very short- sometimes in days. But it depends on the mill and the conditions, the cotton type, machine age.
